Chile will host the XII National Olive Oil Meeting on October 16th

09/30/2014 - The ChileOliva association, along with ProChile, will organize once again the National Olive Oil Conference, which will be held on 16 October at the center of events and conventions Espacio Riesco in Santiago de Chile.
Under the slogan "Chile's Olive Industry and its Challenges", the event, now celebrating its twelfth edition, will allow companies to have a real insight into market trends and production and will feature national and international experts.

Thus, as reported by ChileOliva on its website, during the meeting José Rafael Cardenas, CEO of GEA Westfalia Separator Ibérica-Center of Excellence for International Olive Oil is expected to intervene, who will discuss the current state of the international olive sector, its weaknesses and opportunities; while Joaquín J. Salas, from the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC): FAT INSTITUTE, will address the key factors in the formation of fatty acids in olives.

Meanwhile, Andres Silva, Marketing Block Partner, from Chile, will speak about the professional use of social media in marketing and business.

As part of this event the Awards Ceremony of the second edition of the Latin American Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition, Oro Chile 2014, will be held and organized by the Faculty of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Chile.

The aim of this contest is to recognize excellence in the quality of extra virgin olive oils produced in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru and Uruguay.
