EVOOLEUM Packaging Awards opens its extraordinary call to choose the most beautiful EVOOs in the world

2020/13/03 - For the second consecutive year, Mercacei Publishing Group and AEMO -organizers of the EVOOLEUM Awards, the International Quality Awards of the EVOO- open an extraordinary call to participate in the EVOOLEUM Packaging Awards. Although all the EVOOs registered for the EVOOLEUM Awards already automatically participate in this packaging contest, this call -whose registration period ends on May 8- is an opportunity for all those producers who wish to register only in this category. Does your extra virgin have a unique packaging? Now you can prove it in this contest.

In addition to awarding the 100 best extra virgin olive oils on the planet, the EVOOLEUM Awards International Competition has recognized for five years the creative revolution that packaging has experienced today. Hence, the EVOO Best Packaging Awards -a modality in which EVOOLEUM was a pioneer and which has inspired numerous competitions- recognize the best designs in the categories of Best EVOO Premium Design, Best Innovative Design and Best Retail Design.

Due to the high demand from producers around the world to create a special call for this contest, the organizers of EVOOLEUM decided to take the step in the previous edition. "Many producers wanted to participate in this category, but could not do so due to some of the requirements of the EVOOLEUM bases, such as the minimum volume of production, for example," said Juan A. Peñamil, editor of the EVOOLEUM Guide, who highlighted that with this action "we intend to help all producers who invest in their brand image and care for their product to promote it throughout the world."

The EVOOLEUM Packaging Awards jury -elected especially for these awards- is made up of the renowned fashion designer Ángel Schlesser; chef and restauranteur Javier Bonet, creator of IT places in Madrid such as the Sala de Despiece restaurant; style director and fashion communicator, Ana López de Letona; blogger and journalist Teresa de la Cierva, member of the Real Academia de Gastronomía (Royal Academy of Gastronomy); Sesé San Martín, founder and director of the TELVA Cooking School; and gallerist Jacobo Fitz-James Stuart, owner of Espacio Valverde, an essential gallery in the emerging art route of Madrid. All of them make up a jury with an openly multidisciplinary character and recognized prestige in each of their areas of expertise, with talent and creativity as the common denominator.


A prominent space in the Guide

All the EVOOs awarded at the EVOOLEUM Packaging Awards will appear in the 2021 edition of the EVOOLEUM Guide -published in Spanish and English on paper and app- through a complete descriptive and informative sheet of each of the award-winning juices accompanied by an image of the packaging.
