Showcookings with Spanish EVOO for the first time at the Summer Fancy Food in New York

2019/21/06 - An abundant representation of companies from the olive sector will promote their Premium products to the main American buyers of the sector at the Summer Fancy Food Show in the United States, to be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York from 23 to 25 of June. Mercacei Publishing Group -with its own booth- will have an outstanding presence in the event.

One more year, the Summer Fancy Food Show is presented as a strategic opportunity to reinforce the image and presence in the international market of international producers of extra virgin olive oil.

As a novelty, this year the event will present the new "Speak Ups", spaces where members of the industry -producers, buyers and distributors- will analyze and discuss the challenges and future opportunities for their businesses. "These events and the creation of working groups composed of industry experts will help us to plan our partnership policies and prioritize our programs," said Denise Purcell, head of content at the Specialty Food Association (SFA), organizer of the fair, to Mercacei.

In addition, the "Specialty Food Business Summit" will provide participants with the necessary tools to take their business to the next level.

Spain Organic Corner and showscookings
For the first time, ICEX Spain Export and Investment and the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in New York will organize a "Spain Space" dedicated to organic products (Spain Organic Corner) within the Spanish Grouped Pavilion that the Spanish Federation of Food and Beverage Industries (FIAB) organizes at the fair.

Spain Organic Corner aims to be a small showcase for Spanish organic products within the Spanish Pavilion in this exhibition, where you can give visibility to a small number of Spanish companies of organic products, in a clear commitment to a sector in full development.

On the other hand, in parallel to the program of activities organized by this fair, among which stand out the Sofi Awards or the Business Builder program, ICEX will also organize for the first time a Gastronomic Space within the Spain Pavilion in which it will develop an agenda of events of promotion aimed at a professional audience that will include seminars, tastings and showcookings, among others. In fact, an Olive Oil Seminar will take place the first day of the fair.

For its part, Mercacei Publishing Group -with its publications Olivatessen by Mercacei and the EVOOLEUM Guide- is ratified once again as the only publisher group in the olive oil sector to be present with its own booth at this fair.

After its presence in relevant trade fair events such as Olio Officina Festival (Milan, Italy), Madrid Fusión (Madrid), SOL & Agrifood (Verona, Italy) or Alimentaria (Barcelona), Mercacei will once again pay homage to the extra virgin culture and promoting the 100 best EVOOs in the world.
