New York will host in June the fifth annual Olive Oil Conference

2019/10/05 - The fifth annual Olive Oil Conference, co-hosted by the North American Olive Oil Association (NAOOA) and Extra Virgin Olive Oil Savantes, will be held June 20 to June 22, 2019, at the Harvard Club in New York City.
One more year, this event will attract a wide range of participants from the olive oil industry, which will increase business contacts.

Among other topics, the conference will address the use of flavor to increase the consumption of olive oil; new trends on food, health and the tastes of Millennial consumers in the digital world; and the role played by olive oil and the Mediterranean Diet in diseases such as diabetes.

There will also be a round table on olive oil marketing strategies for Millennial consumers, which will involve professionals from the food industry and the media.

In addition, it will include a cooking demonstration with olive oil and a presentation on combatting the msinformation about “smoke point” .

Simon Field, of Extra Virgin Olive Oil Savantes, will also give a course on tasting olive oil in which he will train his participants about the different varieties.

Likewise, the event will again include the Olive Oil Tasting Challenge, which, led by Extra Virgin Olive Oil Savantes, will test the tasting skills of the participants.

Finally, an olive oil tasting fair will be organized for the benefit of BeyondType1.org for diabetes research, in which EVOOs from all over the world will be tasted.
