Spain wins seven Prizes in the Mario Solinas Award

2019/20/03 - The International Olive Council (IOC) has just published the Mario Solinas Awards, in which seven Spanish EVOOs have been recognized in their different categories. In addition to Spanish juices, in this edition have been awarded extra virgins from Italy, Portugal and Tunisia.

To this edition of the IOC Quality Awards (Mario Solinas 2019) convened by this institution in May 2018, a total of 164 oils from Spain (80), Portugal (37), Morocco (22), were submitted to the contest, Tunisia (7), Italy (4), Algeria (4), Greece (2), Turkey (2), China (2), Angola (1), Saudi Arabia (1), Brazil (1) and Croatia (1) .

The winners may mention the prize obtained in the extra virgin olive oil label of the lot to which the winning sample belongs, by means of a logo delivered by the Executive Secretariat to the winner who so requests, in accordance with the rules of the contest.

The awards ceremony will be held within the framework of the Summer Fancy Food, which will take place from June 23 to 25 in New York (United States).
