2017/30/11 - The Parisian headquarters of the Le Cordon Bleu haute-cuisine training school was the setting for the presentation of Olio Nuovo Days, led by its organizer Emmanuelle Dechelette, and the EVOOLEUM 2018 Guide, by its editor Juan A. Peñamil, in an act full of chefs, producers and French and international gastronomic journalists.

Last Monday, the city of light dressed up to welcome the presentation of the EVOOLEUM 2018 Guide in an event held at one of the most elite cooking schools in the world. Thus, Le Cordon Bleu became a celebration of the new oil through mistress of ceremonies Emmanuelle Dechelette, promoter of the Parisian event Olio Nuovo Days, which will be held from January 16 to 20.

In the framework of this evening Juan A. Peñamil, CEO and Editor of Mercacei, presented the latest edition of the EVOOLEUM Guide exclusively to chefs, EVOO producers and international journalists, through a talk with live showcookings. The editor of the publication made special emphasis on the high quality of the extra virgins that appear in the guide, highlighting also its aesthetic aspect -contemplated in the EVOOLEUM Packaging Awards- and paying special attention to the need to create a global culture around this product.

The attendees of this event -among which highlighted chefs belonging to this exclusive cooking school, as well as influencers, bloggers and gastronomic journalists- were able to obtain a copy of the EVOOLEUM Guide and had the opportunity to raise their doubts on the spot of the EVOO world.

Emmanuelle Dechelette, meanwhile, exhibited the news and features of Olio Nuovo Days, which will celebrate its third edition from January 16 to 20, 2018, an event that aims to show the French consumer high-quality extra virgin olive oil in its freshest expression, through tastings, workshops and other activities to be held in restaurants, bakeries and other places of interest in the French capital. Juices from Spain (Nobleza del Sur, Casas de Hualdo, Henri Mor and O-MED), Japan, Italy, Greece, Tunisia and France will participate in this event that will also include the presence of the Spanish chef Mª José San Román (El Monastrell, 1 Michelin Star).

After both acts of presentation, a cocktail and a tasting of the selection of the present EVOOs took place, a prelude to what will be Olio Nuovo Days, while attendees could enjoy the exhibition of Numa Roda-Gil, a French artist who dazzled the attendees with his series of drawings of Native Americans painted with extra virgin.

Likewise, Juan A. Peñamil and Emmanuelle Dechelette took the opportunity to announce the upcoming celebration of Olio Nuovo Days in Madrid throughout 2019.
