Plan your Agenda: must-see events of the last quarter of the year

2017/29/09 - Autumn has started and on the brink of October we want to review the national and international fairs and events that are must-see for the olive sector and that will take place in the last quarter of the year.
The month of October starts with Luxe Pack Monaco (October 2-4 in Monaco), an exclusive space that hosts the "most comprehensive" exhibition on branding and packaging solutions. This event will be followed by Anuga (October 7-11 in Cologne, Germany), including an OliveOilMarket, that will offer a platform to olive oil exhibitors and the possibility of on-the-spot testing of all juices present, as well as obtaining information and advice from experts; San Sebastian Gastronomika-Euskadi Basque Country (from 8 to 11 October in San Sebastián, Spain), which will gather the most prestigiuos chefs from all around the world; and Olive Oil Kansai International (October 11-13 in Osaka, Japan), an event to boost the olive oil trade in Japan.

In November many more events will take place such as Gastrónoma (from 4 to 6 November in Valencia, Spain), an exhibition designed for gastronomic professionals and the gourmet public to experience and enjoy tastings, workshops, live cookings and debates; the "Olive Meeting: Challenges of Plant Health and Technological Innovation," to be held from November 8 to 10 in Jaén (Spain) which will address the reality of plant health and technological innovation in the olive grove; and BioCultura Madrid (from 9 to 12 November in Madrid, Spain), the Fair of Organic Products and Responsible Consumption, which is among the most important of these characteristics that take place in Europe.

Foodex Saudi (12-15 November in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia), the most important meeting place for food and beverage industry professionals in Saudi Arabia, will also be held during this same month; as well as the European Conference on Xylella fastidiosa (13 to 15 November in Palma de Mallorca, Spain), which will become a platform for in-depth discussion on the results obtained in the research carried out on this bacterium and its vectors, in order to support current efforts to control European outbreaks; Food & Hotel China (November 14-16 in Shanghai, China), where the olive oil sector has become more prominent in recent years; and Nordic Organic Food Fair (from 15 to 16 November in Malmoe, Sweden), the only event organized in the Nordic countries dedicated to the promotion of certified organic food.

Other fairs of interest will be Empack, Packaging Innovations and Logistics (from November 15 to 16 in Madrid, Spaon), the reference meeting point for all innovative areas involved in the supply chain; ExpoHalal Spain (from 28 to 29 November in Madrid, Spain), a well-known Halal fair both in Spain and internationally and representing a great opportunity for brands to start new businesses and gain present in the markets of Europe, Africa, Asia and the East Medium; and Sitevi (from 28 to 30 November in Montpellier, France), the hall dedicated to the wine, horticultural and olive sectors, which will become a true platform for meetings and business.
